To grow healthy, green, and red aquatic plants, a balanced supply of light, carbon dioxide (CO2), and nutrients is required. Understanding Macronutrients vs. Micronutrients
Plants consume nutrients in varying quantities. Macronutrients are nutrients that plants require in large amounts. These include Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). On the other hand, Micronutrients are trace elements needed in smaller quantities, with Iron (Fe), Magnesium (Mg), and Manganese (Mn) being some of the most critical.
